Question Reinstalling Windows Vista what about updates?

I need to use Windows Vista Recovery am im wondering where i can get the Microsoft updates since Microsoft dont support Vista anymore. Even though they are old updates i dont think they will download they way they use to when i ran recovery 10 years ago.

Have you tried it?
If they don't work, may be consider windows 7 instead.

im just use to it kind of like it but i guess 7 is better at least i can get updates, but for how long until they discontinue them.
At least i wouldnt have to worry about Microsoft updates if i install 7 right now.
More compatibility with software would be another plus.
I definitely will consider it. Do you know if i can upgrade free?

Windows 7 ended support as well in 2020. Is there specific hardware or software you are trying to use? If not might be time for a more modern windows os like windows 10 if possible.

Oh I didn’t know. No not really. i dont think i could run 10 my computer too old maybe, HP m9250f. And id like to upgrade free if possible dont think i could upgrade to Windows 8 free do you?
