Ok,

I have been running Vista Ultimate 64 for a couple of months and I am not sure if I like it much over my XP Pro. Anyways, I was of the mind that I'd like to reinstall my good ole XP. The funny thing is when I set my booting priority in the BIOS to CDRom and boot my system, It asked me to press any key to launch de CD but after doing that it boots right into VISTA even though HHD are disabled in the boots priority sequence. Seems to me that VISTA has a mind of its own. How do I by pass this annoying behaviour ?

Just curious - are you using a USB keyboard? If so, I've found that I had to go into my BIOS and enable "legacy" support for the keyboard. Otherwise the keyboard doesn't respond for that "press any key to boot from the DVD" prompt and the prompt times out after a couple of seconds. Then it tries to boot from the HDD as you've seen. Hope this helps.
