Reliable Antec PSU for $50?

This PSU seems to be exactly what my friend needs to proceed with upgrading his machine. He is trying to keep it at $50. He is going to try and run an EVGA GTX 660 2GB FTW Sig2 on it. if you are going to get a gtx 660, id get the asus directcu2 660. cools way better and is cheaper

For a system using a single GeForce GTX 660 (non-Ti) graphics card NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 450 Watt or greater power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 24 Amps or greater and that has at least one 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the critical factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) will require an additional increase to the combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. Thanks, I knew that it could support it but was unsure of how good the PSU itself is. I have an Antec myself but I didn't know how this one shaped up. Plus, I am more partial to the Sig2 for the sake of size and slight higher speed.

higher speeds mean nothing when any card that is non-reference can overclock that high. not to mention the asus cooler is still a lot better than what evga offers. i never recommended them.

There's a good offer in newegg for an antec psu, the antec neo 620, it's made by seasonic, it's under 50$, after mir it's 30$.

Hi - agree with BigTroll & DJ on their PSU recommendations,
same or lower price, better unit.

Hmm, now that I look at it, I like both. I trust ASUS, I just am not much sure about the size.
