A lot of people were talking about using the ReloadEvery FF extension in
order to pick up the Winter sidebar, and I was just wondering ... will
TNT freeze us for using it? Obviously, if they want to, they can see in
their server logs a pattern of hits from a specific user/IP address.

It sounds like a great idea; I just want to make sure I'm not going to
get iced for it 😉

What do you mean ReloadEvery? I had the sidebar when I logged on today. Now
that I have had an account frozen I would have to say if you have to ask if
its right don't try it. It surprised me when I saw the new sidebar. They are
a little late though. Christmas was 2 months ago.

i consider it useful, but must be used sparingly, mainly the healing
springs when a pet is sick

What does it get you?
I find it distracting, and irrelevant.

Tomorrow you will have the regular yellow sidebar back. If you get the
random event that gives you access to the Winter (or Spooky (Halloween), or
Christmas (it's different than Winter) or any of the others that they
will/have come up with, you will be able to use that sidebar all the time.
Or change it to suit your mood, or the time of the year, whatever.

You have to use your own judgement as no one here can tell you what TNT
will do or will not do.

Ya know I think, looking at the Winter sidebar, that it would probably come
out a particularly horrid shade of green. Depending on your vitamin B
(complex) intake of course.

Why not just wait for the Spring sidebar, and see what they think Spring
looks like. If you really need green right now, go buy a plant. :)

That's a good question.
I wish I had thought of that before. I don't want to risk my account for
some silly sidebar.
And it did not even help.
It did give me three quests, an icy negg, but also some NP and items were
stolen by random events.
No sidebar.
I don't even know why I am doing this, maybe if I had it unlocked I would
not even use it. :)

I didn't ever figure out how to unlock the Winter Sidebar. Did anyone here get
it?

I saw on boards that someone had it as a random event. this is not
"verbatem" but it was something like

"Something has happened
Brrrr its cold in here. You can now use the winter sidebar... blah blah
blah..."
