Hey there - I'm sorry in advance if this is a dumb question.I'm wondering if there is a way to remap my mouse buttons 4 and 5 via the registry.

I understand that certain programs such as Auto Hotkey and X-Button Mouse Control can do this. However, the online video game I play a lot does not allow any 3rd party software. They allow buttons to be remapped, but only if your mouse comes with built-in software (I know, it's dumb).

I have Windows 10, and a Zowie FK2 mouse. If you need any extra information just let me know.

So I'm wondering if it's possible at all to remap mouse buttons 4 and 5 via the registry. I'd like one button to act as a shift key and the other as alt. If it's not possible just let me know. Thanks!

Thanks. Yeah, it's a great mouse but I just wish it came with built-in software. It wouldn't be much of a problem if the main game I play allowed 3rd party programs, but unfortunately it doesn't.
