Remapping

How do I enable memory remapping on an MSI P67A-G43 mainboard? I'm only getting 2.98 GB of usable RAM out of 8 installed, and I'm trying to get the full amount.

Run Msconfig-----Boot Tab------Advanced Options----- Uncheck the Maximum Memory Box There.
OK--- Apply---- Reboot and check the amount of usable memory now.

I've already tried that as well as tried reseating the Memory DIMMs and the CPU itself.

32 bit windows will read the ram at about 3 gb, so your reading is normal. It's a limitation of all windows 32 bit operating systems

Am I only getting 3GB of RAM available or is it just reading that?

Oh, you're using the wrong OS, 32 Bit can use only a max of 4GB approx.... irrelevant of how much extra RAM is put into the rig. If your BIOS show all 8GB you will still end up using less than 4GB in a 32Bit OS.
To utilize more than 4GB of RAM you need to have a 64Bit OS installed.
Yes, Only 3GB of RAM is what your system is capable of using from the installed 8GB.
That is the rule of the 32Bit structure, it can't read beyond a certain number of zeros ..... so you're stuck with it until you change your OS to a 64Bit version.
