Remembering an old game

I was born in 97 so the game could have been made b4 then but I played it probably around 2003. It was a cartoon pirate point and click game. You were a kid with this purple cat like monster as your mate and I could of sworn his name was snoop. You get wrecked on a island and you have to repair your ship, while on the island I think you look for treasure I specifically remember the end having to do with a volcano but I can't find anything online. Anybody have an idea of what this is?

No I remember monkey island, the kid you played as was younger. The first part I think you have to build a sail because your stuck on the ocean and then you pick up to much speed and that's when you crash. Then monster thing that was your mate was like sully from monsters inc except purple
