Remote Desktop Connection Version 7 upgrade for Vista

Hi Everyone.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 64 bit. Microsoft's site says it allows to install the RDC Version 7 standalone with Vista. I currently have RDP Version 6 (work perfectly fine). However, I need some of the additional features in Version 7 (like audio redirection to name one so I can use a microphone on my VPS in Windows Server 2012).

However, when I download this it keeps saying the "The update does not apply to my system"...no error codes other than that...however, I meet every single prerequisite on their list.

Can anyone help me install this? Do I need to adjust a registry or find a zip with all the files and manually replace or what (which if you know where I could find such a zip that would be great...if it would be a workaround)...

Ok...if you do come up with something, please let me know...smile.

I changed this for coming up with a solution as well. So, the question is still open. If anyone can answer, I will select it as the solution. I am still trying to find on my own too (if I find out I will post back).

Anyone else have any ideas?
