Remote desktop log-on screen?

Hi all,

I use remote desktop to remotely control our lab pc, which is connected to a
camera. We want to remotely control the camera to take pictures of what is
shown on that monitor facing the camera and connected to the lab pc...

Now the problem is: when I do remote control, MS XP always show a blue
log-on screen on that remote PC. That's bad... because we want it to be able
to show some pictures...

What can we do?

Have you looked at video drivers to make sure they are the newest?

But how does this relate to a video driver?

Since I use RDP, it always show a logon screen on remote computer asking for
password: I guess that's for security... not video driver related... am I
right?

Ooppsss... I misread your post.

If you get the login screen then just login to the XP Pro box with Remote
Desktop. The user must be an Administrator or a member of the Remote Desktop
users group and have a password.

I think you again misunderstood my point:

I am an administrator and user myself.

I definitely can log onto it both locally and remotely to that Lab PC.

But we want to operate this PC and its attached camera remotely.

But if I remotely control it, that camera always sees on the monitor a
logon-on-screen... that's not what we want.

We want to remotely operate that camera to take pictures of the monitor and
we put some images onto the monitor screen...

So how to get rid of that default blue logon-on-screen while we are doing
remote control?

without locking the machine ur controlling? I can't seem to get that to
work, have you tried using VNC?
