[SOLVED] Remote desktop without port forwarding

Hi. I was using Teamviewer but I keep on getting kicked out. Think it wants me to use the professional version which is far too expensive for my occasional remote access requirements.

The person I am helping has a very good internet connection but I can't get port forwarding setup. Is there an open source or free solution to this?

Yeah, just use the free Chrome Remote Desktop extension.

You can put their system in the dmz, but MAKE SURE you remove it from the dmz when you are done as open remote desktop is just asking for a hack...

TeamViewer can trigger "Business Usage detected" out of nowhere... You can also try Windows' built-in "Quick Assist" feature. It requires actions from both sides, but works pretty well once established.
