Dear Tomsterites,

I have an old hombrew I5 on ASUS Z87 Motherboard with a Theralake case.

I would like to be able to turn it on an off over the internet. I have a couple of Wyze AC sockets that I can control over the net but that won’t turn the PC on - the button on the front needs to be pushed.

Any suggestions for how I can achieve remote control.

Thanks,
Mick

BIOS should have an option to restart PC in case of power failure. Set it to enabled and PC will start as soon as power comes on.

Hey, thanks.
I found the power options in my advanced Bios settings. Works great until I leave the power off for a couple of mins, then the Bios resets to old values.

off to pharmacy to my a new battery for the motherboar. Guessing that will fix it.
Thanks for th Bios pointer.

Cheers,
Mick
