Remote shooting with canon 20d windows 7

Folks,
i am not able to use remote shooting with canon 20d under windows 7.

It was working well with all Windows version as well as MAC.

but not with Windows 7 - this is very frustrating...

did anyone manage to find workaround?

Wh i set communication to PTP....
1) I Can download photos already on the camera BUT
2) I CAN NOT shoot additional photos as long as the camera is attached to the computer and this kinda defeats the purpose of tethering to the computer...
