I want to replace the battery in a Belkin UPS, model F6C500-UNV. I have the replacement battery and have opened the case but cannot figure out how to remove the existing battery. Any help ?
Different Belkin model but should give you some idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRIOwrtantA
Thanks, Phillip, but the Belkin F6C500-UNV is nowhere that easy - I wish that it was. I have the UPS opened up and am thinking that I have to move either the circuit board or the transformer out of the way so I can get to the battery. I am hoping that someone can either tell me something I am missing or tell me which to move. I had already seen the video that you pointed to, but can't find a video for the Belkin F6C500-UNV - or anything like it, and also can't find anything on the Belkin website. Thanks again.
Thanks, Anaandrew01, but that is for a different model. The one I have, the F6C500-UNV, does not have a battery cover plate. That would make things so easy if it did ! Thanks anyway.

Hi there
I can tell you that the F6C800-UNV which I assume will be very similar is a real pain first you take off the overall cover, then the front cover and lay the UPS on its side, front here you can see the cables that connect the Circuit board on the top as this has to be removed ( yes I Know ) then you will be able to undo the door that holds the batteries in place to change them.
Why on earth they didn't put the holding door on the side for easy access to the batteries I do not know, oh wait yes I do, because they would rather you bought a new UPS than change the batteries
Here are the batteries, Belkin F6C800-UNV replacement batteries , there are two in this model but suspect the 500 version is the same and certainly a hell of a lot cheaper that buying a new UPS.
The single battery is held in place on all corners.
The rear side has a removable bracket.
It is held in place by two nuts on the back side on the bottom.
You will need a nut driver to remove them.
Also will need to remove the top circuit board with two screws, at least to move it out of the way.
You will then be able to maneuver the old battery out and put the new one in.
I just replaced .one last night
