I was wondering if you can remove the copper part on the backplate from the Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme 1080Ti? And do Gigabyte include a replacement part that will fit?
I'm not exactly sure, but tampering with the card may void warranty. Why would you want to remove the copper?
I just think it looks ugly as all hell and as Gamers Nexus shows, it provides no actual benefit, at least not unless you mod a fin stack on it or if you have a fan pointed directly at it.
Fair enough. I wouldn't expect Gigabyte to have replacement parts for that specific part, because it's not exactly designed to be modular and to be removed.
