Question Remove Gateway splash screen from D865GLCLK

Hi,

Does anyone know how to remove the Gateway splash screen from D865GLCLK? I have downloaded the BIOS directly from the Intel site at:

Unfortunately the BIOS iflash program wont start up from a USB drive. I get a black screen with the cursor blinking when I change the BIOS setting to boot from USB. I am not even sure if updating the BIOS will remove the Gateway splash screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you get into BIOS settings? If so, there should be an option to turn off logo during bootup process. Speaking of which, which BIOS version are you on at the moment?

Hi,

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I can get into BIOS and I am able to turn off the logo but it looks like this board has a custom Gateway BIOS BF86510A.15A.0080.P18 and the Intel BIOS does not match the ID, so I am not able to load it. Do you know if there is away to permanently remove the current BIOS and then upload the Intel one?

It appears you don't have an Intel Retail Boxed motherboard. You have an OEM motherboard that does not use the Intel retail boxed motherboard BIOS.

If you want to experiment with it, you might try changing the BIOS chip.
