I got a cpu cooler (Hyper 212 Evo) and i got an Asus M5A99FX PRO R2 motherboard. To install the cooler it seems i have to replace the stock cpu backplate with the backplate that comes with the cooler. However when i try to unscrew the backplate the screws wont budge ONE BIT, and im not weak. Is it supposed to come off at all? Am i doing this correctly? Any tips to loosen the screws?

they aren't screws they should be pushpins.

if you look at the bottom of the motherboard, you'll see what looks like white cones, with a slit in them and a 2nd piece of plastic in the middle of the slit. using a flathead screwdriver, push the 2nd peice of plastic down, do this for all 4 pins, the whole assembly should just come apart.

Hmm I'm confused now, pretty sure they are screws, here are a couple of pics. Are these the one you are talking about?

Hmmmm, i see. I'll have to get a better screw driver then. I got this bundle of screwdrivers that i've used to unscrew/screw everything else on the motherboard/pc and they've worked fine, but they wont cut it for the cpu brackets, i applied enough strength to bend a flathead one, and the cross one slides, not best screw driver quality but i thought they should work.
