[SOLVED] Remove virus from an old hdd?

So I have this hdd that i used in my old computer before i built my current one. I had some photos as well as some other files on the hdd and i still have it (It's got windows and everything on there) but I'm 90% sure (I can't remember exactly) that it was infected with a virus when I replaced it but it was still working. Is there any way for me to get my files without infecting my current hard drive?

Disconnect all drives except the old HDD and boot from the free Kaspersky Rescue Disk and then clean the drive prior to using it on a clean system. Some files may be corrupted, but you should be able to recover most.

Remove the hard drives from your gaming computer. Put in the old one if the cables match up. Run windows or any program via USB that will wipe/format the HDD.

Yea run kaspersky rescue disk, also reinstall windows, run adw cleaner, hitmanpro and norton power eraser, but by far the best thing to do is buy a new hard drive.
