Remove Windows 10 Update

Hi,

I downloaded the update for Windows 10 Technical Preview through Windows Update, but haven't actually installed it.

I'd like to know how to remove the update from my system.

if you right click on it do you have any options ?

Else you have to locate the installed update list and from there you should have an option to manage them, hence, delete them.

I can hide the update - but I'd like to remove it, as it will free up 2000MB.

It isn't installed so I can't remove it from there either.

It is only downloaded. I want to remove the downloaded files.

KB2990214 is the update for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 that adds the Upgrade to Windows 10 Technical Preview component to Windows Update. Uninstalling it from a Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 computer should remove the update prompt and files. See this thread at Microsoft Answers for a number of other users with the same scenario who removed the update prompt by uninstalling KB2990214.
