Two days ago I had a discussion I'd made concerning Windows 12 deleted from the forums. The message was firm, crisp and not of the mellow and gentle tone in which messaging on such superior platforms should be provided. It said that I could not post a volitional discussion regarding speculation about a product (Windows 12) which has not yet seen the light.

Now, the term discussion contains within 'freedom.' A message written bluntly about topics which should be endless seems unprofessional and coarse, unpremeditated and divisive as to the freedom a discussion implies. In order to reach beauty there must exist variety of opinion. You cannot control opinion and witnessing opinion is the chief concern of a 'discussion.'

I would be glad if those facts of erudition may be witnessed and that mellower messaging and a wider range of freedom may be represented within the forum. We are people, not machines, and just like beauty illuminates everchanging shards of sunlight and blossoming gardens, uncontrolled and sporadic, our conversations and discussions partake of multi-opalescent forms. You cannot change that with stern wording, you cannot encompass it in a vile grip.

Thank you!

PS. If the discussion may still be viewed, it would be aptly noted that the tone in the heading is polite and formal and that the discussion topic is quite innocuous and warmly driven. I did not get to the point where other people wrote underneath for the discussion had been removed shortly upon its publication.

I didn't remove it, but agree with the decision.
Such thread *always* devolve into meaningless arguments that have no practical value.
I've been here many years and that has always been the case with such threads.
You simply have no idea how much work it is to keep Tom's a useful tool to help users with actual problems that they need to solve, as most of it happens seamlessly.

I also did not delete it, and I also agree with the deletion.

100% speculation.
Which would have very quickly descended into how evul Microsoft is.

Consider a similar post, in 2010-2012, talking about Win 10.
All replies would have been wrong, and a LOT of pointless arguing.

I didn't remove it, but I can say with confidence that it wasn't meant as a slight against you or a negative reflection on your value to this forum as a participant. It's simply precautionary because crystal ball threads go south very quickly. I don't doubt your character, your motives, or the good faith with which you started the thread. Speculation threads involving products from Microsoft, AMD, Nvidia, Intel, or any large company become disastrous very quickly, so we try to keep these to a minimum, when there is direct news about something specific.
