removed flash during bios installation

so, i was updating the bios for my hp compaq dx 7400 microtower when during the process it stuck at 18%. unfortunately my friend removed the flash disk before the process was done and now the computer starts but with no post and no bios and many beeps. i am not sure of the post though

Try removing power from the pc then clearing the CMOS. Then try putting the disk in the drive and see if hp has a set of keys or disks to try and recover the bios. Some mb if the bios flash file is placed on a bootable USB stick the mb may recover itself. If not look on eBay or online for companies selling replacement bios chips. If your lucky your mb has a chip that can be pulled.
