Well you shouldn't have expected 100 fps in Bf4 with the 270x to begin with, but oh well lol

And I'm assuming you have the Earthwatts or whatever they call that, and no the HCG? I wouldn't try pushing the 280x on that, as it only has 22A on 2 +12v rails. It just barely meets the minimum for the 280x, which I wouldn't recommend.

If you have a 60hz monitor you wont be able to see any difference if you get to the 100 mark that you are looking for. Because 60hx monitors can only show 60 fps, but if you have a monitor that is 120 or 140 hz i would go for the gtx 770 instead of the r9 280x. Because it beats the 280x in every game exept battlefield 4. And the only reason for that is because battlefield is an amd title. So if you play any other game than battlefield go for the gtx 770.
