Currently the NVMe m.2 drive i have installed does not have a heat sink on it. I got one for it but I have to remove it from the motherboard to install it. Will I lose what is on the drive if I disconnect it from the motherboard? This is my first computer where I have had an NMVe so I am unsure if I can remove it without losing what is on it

Hey,

No, don't worry. The data that is stored on the drive will stay on it when taking it out of the slot. Don't actually have the computer turned on while you take it out though...! ;)
