So I recently took over the IT department at a business I work for and we have a PC that is used for video recording and editing and also projects sometimes. The problem is the system needs some major driver updates but its on an Admin Domain! Well the last guy that set up the domains and the computer jacked everything up. He told me there is no way to install anything on the computer until the domain is back up and running (not an option right now). I have tried removing the computer from the domain but I get "No logon servers" and also the Admin account is disabled.... Is there any special way around all of this?? Is there a way I can remove the domain through like a windows installer cd cmd prompt? Or in safe mode? I know I can just wipe the PC and restart but thats also not an option at the moment. Thanks in advance!

The only way to resolve this without reseting the local admin account, is to:
1. Disconnect the computer form the network
2. Log on with cached credentials.
This means you'll have to have someone login with their domain admin account that has previously logged into that machine before.
3. Reset or add a local admin password.
4. Log into as local admin and disjoin from the domain.
