I have a pre-built PC, and I've never removed a cooler from a PC before. I'm afraid I might pull the pins off of my CPU, and I'm just not sure how to go about removing the AIO cooler. Is it simply unscrewing it and pulling it off? I really just want to test the Hyper 212 EVO I have on my own PC, before I put it in my friend's. I would rather break my own CPU or MOBO than my friend's...

Sorry for the "newbie" question, I can't find a decent tutorial anywhere.

Thanks for any and all answers!

I have personally found removing a AIO cooler much easier than installing one. You literally just take off a few screws, take off the plate behind the motherboard and take the pump off.

As long as your CPU was inserted and settled properly when the PC was originally built, there is little/no chance of the CPU being damaged in this process. The part you should worry about more is installing the 212 Evo xD
