Got an HP laptop (HP ENVY m6-aq100 x360) that for stupid reasons, now has a BIOS password lock. Can't get in.

Can't use F9 to boot through any other methods as the BIOS password is required in order to do anything.

Tried some "master password" generator tools online, but none of them work for this particular model.

So I removed the CMOS battery, unplugged the main battery from the mobo, and let it sit.
Plug in AC cable a few hours later and it still asks for password.

Did I do something wrong? How does it still ask for a BIOS password even with the CMOS batery removed?
Is there some kind of pin that needs to be touched to reset? Can't find any manual for this online.

Would really like to get it working today as I have a project on it that I didn't save anywhere else.
Would prefer to avoid removing the hard drive.
Thanks
