Question Removing corrupted HDD

When i turned on my laptop i got this error; "S.M.A.R.T. Status BAD, Backup and Replace" showing long number that is pointing to my HDD. Windows is instaled on my SSD. Can i remove my hdd and everything will work?

Before doing anything try to learn more about what has or is happening.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Do you have any backups of that HDD?

Make and model HDD? Capacity ? How full?

If possible do a screen capture of the error and post here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

Also take a full screenshot of Disk Manager and post that screenshot as well.

My laptop is Asus GL702vm.
I need to add some important notes. One day i started to have charging problems. Aprox 3 months ago i started running my laptop on battery+adapter because i noticed my charger slowly stopped charging my battery. And one day laptop died out of nothing. Now i cant turn on laptop just on adapter and my battery is not charging. I ordered new battery and i was able to turn on laptop where i saw that HDD problem first time and after long loading i saw login account screen. But i was not able to charge that new battery again so laptop shutted down.
I tried to run it with removed HDD and also disconnected display but still the same. Simply laptop charging doesnt work.
