Question Removing CPU cooler with clips ?

I have a cheap CPU cooler Model: E86 PCCooler with clips that I have no idea how to remove. I saw a similar post for what looked like a similar but slightly different CPU cooler suggesting to push down and pull out, but this doesn't work for me. Would be grateful for any help.

Based on those pictures I would say push down, then push towards the center of the fan and clip should release. Then repeat with the other one.

Thanks for the reply. I actually found the solution, you need to push the clip down and then pull the lever on the clip up on just one of them and the whole thing comes off super easy. Now, to get the plastic mounting bracket or whatever it's called off!

Pictures? But there are pretty much only two options: screws or plastic bolts. Screws are obvious. Bolts are bit more complicated, but usually you need to rotate them (typically 90 degrees, direction should be shown on bolt) then pull up.

This looks like an AMD factory mounting system. The plastic hardware is attached to the backplate on the backside of the motherboard. If you have an aftermarket cooler, you may have to remove your motherboard to get to the backplate. EVERY cooler is different. Read the instructions carefully.

It's actually an Intel processor, it's an LGA1151 bracket I believe. Unfortunately I don't have the manual and can't find one for it online. Here is a picture of it. I yanked out one of the plastic bolts with a knife yesterday out of frustration, but don't think I was supposed to do that.

Those definitely not look like you could rotate them. So the only option left is to pull the bolts up? Not the best mechanism for sure.

@DRagor Thanks for your reply, yeah I tried rotating them, unsurprisingly it didn't work. I'm still browsing internet for solutions before I try yanking them out again, because it seems like a horrible way to do it.

Managed to get the solution from a supplier. You have to use a scissors, basically put enough pressure on the sides of plastic bolt to keep a grip and then push scissors a bit forward and it pops quite easily.
