Removing disk write protection

I used Total Commander which showed the SD card''s icon, next I right clicked on that icon which brought up the menu which included Format. Next I clicked on that (using Smart Format choice) which it did quite quickly. Hey presto a formatted SD card which was no longer Write Protected and then it became like any other storage drive on the computer. I recommend Total Commander over the EXPLORER method as all drive icons are visible and it is so easy to manipulate .
