Removing network access

My office PC running windows 10 was connected to a network where I could access particular files. I wish to remove this from ever being on my PC.

I have reason to believe that is causing save as and new folder creation to be extremely slow.

I want anything to do with this to be removed.

I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with network shared folders. But in general, as long as your PC is on the same network (or homegroup) as the other one you will be able to see it and access it.

do u know how to block access to it?

It needs to be done from the computer on which the folder is located. Simply go to advanced sharing options in the properties menu of that folder and remove access from your user name.

No need to try to reinvent the wheel. Easiest solution is to do it as above.

it seems that you already can't access that FormulaE folder...

this worked like a charm. clearly the computer was trying to connect to network first to save as images but then save in the right place.
