Removing paint from an AOC G2460PG (black border)

Hello guys, I just got the AOC G2460PG and the green line below the screen turns out to be more of a ah heck than I expected it to be.
The line is painted on and I was wondering if you guys know of a way to get it removed without damaging the underlying material (which looks awesome btw).

The AOC G2460PG border is a black brushed metal material.

Why not get a sticker and tape over it? Black stripe sticker for instance which is used on cars, available at any decent car parts store.
