Question Removing plastic cover, not the heatsink ?

Hey all!

I have a blower style gtx 970 gainward edition.

I was wondering is it possible to remove the plastic cover whilst keeping the heatsink in place? I'm trying to get those dust bunnies stuck towards the fan without disassembling the whole thing.
