removing shield icon on taskbar

there is shield icon at the task bar but it cannot be open...and if i click on the other icon on the taskbar,it won't open as well. so what should i do to fix this?

If it's a yellow shield, it might be Norton/Symantec Antivirus. Anyway, you'll need to post a screenshot of the icon and the details tab of the task manager.
