Removing the MSI GeForce GTX 970 100 ME Cover?

I was wondering if there was a way with out voiding the warranty to remove the cover on the MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB 100 Million Edition? The black and green don't match the case color scheme so if I could remove the cover so I can Plasti Dip it that would be great.

Removing any components and changing the appearance of the item will void the warranty. I learned that the hard way.
Just keep the thing in your case and forget about it, its not worth it.

you can certainly remove it

would have to check with msi if doing that would void the warranty

i have the msi g4 gaming gtx970 watercooled

and pretty sure somewhere i found a post from msi saying watercooling it wouldnt void the warranty as long as it wasnt damage you caused removing the shroud and fitting the block

though cant remember where i saw the post now

some manufacturers are more watercooling/mod friendly than others

for example swiftech allowed me to dismantle my pump WITHOUT voiding my warranty

just cant remember which forum had the MSI representative in it at the moment
