Rendering Taking 50 Min For A 1 Min Video??

Just like the title says I have been experiencing some long rendering times.

PC specs:
FC-6300
GTX 960 (ssc 2gb)
8GB Crucial BallistiX RAM (2 4gb sticks)
WIN 10

I am using DaVinci Resolve 12.5 to edit/render videos and the times are crazy (I'm rendering to mp4 1080p)

Is there anything I can do to speed things up? I know how to build a pc but don't quite get how everything works! Please Help!

1.bad software i have never heard of it.
2. more ram would help.
