Hi guys.

I'm very new to this forum so not sure where to post things atm.

A while back I followed a youtube tutorial trying to get a Samsung tablet to show up as a removable storage unit. It didn't work but I'd changed a setting in the system & can't remember where it was or find the video. Stupid I know.

Since then there are issues with hardware i.e. Web cameras won't be regcognised by windows, drivers won't install, keyboard won't install drivers etc... Also, chrome has started causing serious lag issues, IE doesn't so I've been using that.

I just came accross on the community homepage something called a 'repair install' for the OS (Windows 7 ITC) which repairs any corruptions.

I was planning to do a clean install but the thought of having to back up everything & reinstall everything sounds like a night mare.

Any feedback on the issues I'm having & if a repair install should sort out what I messed around with.

Thanks.

To add... I partioned the hard drive, installed a 2nd version of windows 7 on the new partition & all the hardware drivers installed perfectly so does that sound like my current (main in use) version of W7 is corrupted?
