http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-repair-your-Graphics-Card-by-baking-it/

In this video it is shown that i can repair any graphic card buy just opening it and cleaning the old thermal paste from alcohol then the preheat oven to 375ºf and bake for 10 minutes and then taking it out and let it cool down and attach the cover and then fitting it ?? Is this a real solution for repairing the graphic card bcoz my graphic card is having a problems that are listed below :

1 ) when i installed my graphic card drivers it restarts everytime giving bluescreen error( when i uninstall in safe mode it i.e a drivers and then i restart it starts normally.

2) now my screen is having linings something like display problem.

Is there any solutions to it , how can i repair it or is the above video is the good solution ...please suggest a solution..!!!

thank you

Solution
"Baking", does not mean "putting in the microwave". Baking is done in an OVEN, NOT in a microwave. You don't put sharp metal objects in microwaves. They will catch on fire or explode. Ovens don't do that.

I'm fairly new to things PC but it sounds feasible. I would only try it as a last resort, but even then I would just buy a new GPU, your model is very old. I recommend buying a new one and trying this for fun 😛.

Will it have any effects on my microwave on baking it ???

I never try that method actually.
But if you follow the instruction accordingly, I am pretty sure your microwave is just fine.. :)

Probably safer to do it in a oven, if you have one. Microwave seems risky.

Is there any other solution for repairing rather then baking it???

Metal and Microwaves do not mix. Recommending someone to put a GPU into a microwave has to be the absolute worst advice I have ever seen someone give, and I have seen so really bad advice, over the years. even worse so is that it is coming from a supposed graphics card master.

Wow, I don't know the "baking" method is not good at all.
Is that reaaaally that BAD?

I never do/watch someone who actually try that baking method, but what I know is there's some people who actually succeed with baking method and their card is working again.

To OP:
Let's be safe, just like everybody else says, do not try this at home, do not ever attempt this.

I'm going to remember it for the rest of my life. Thank you for correcting me. :)

Hey if that's the takeaway from this thread, then it's all good!

The baking method can work, but you use an oven, not a microwave!

This is simply a method to attempt to fix any dry sockets in the soldering. If the issue is related to a bad connection with the cards components it may actually help. If not, you will just end up with a very warm graphics card. Remember to use oven mitts.

Well, it's not as if he had the microwave cookery master badge.
