Hi,

Recently, I replaced my GTX 580M for a GTX 675M in my MSI GT783R (MS-17611) as my GTX 580M was defective. The reason was that after 3 minutes in Windows, the fan would turn on and 2 seconds after, the computer would turn off.

My questions is simple: is it possible to get the GTX 580M repaired? Some other info:

- The computer would work with the card if NVidia drivers were not installed, as it won't turn off and neither overheat;
- The computer (before turning off) can run games normally;
- The temperature of the video card was still slight warm to the touch, so it is not overheating before turning off;

Would it be possible to repair such a card?

Thank you,
Nelson

Basically....with enough time, money and expertise, anything can be repaired.

So yes...it's possible.

The thing is....in general....the cost of such a repair is not practical, so you would end up spending more for the repair than it's worth.
