Yes, you will want to install ALL of your drivers from their respective manufactures and not rely on Windows. I would still run something along the lines of Malwarebytes, and turn off Runtime broker. If you give me a hardware(everything or computer model if prebuilt) list I can help assist you in the specific drivers you'll need. The memory modules can be checked either way, but I recommend dealing with software before moving on to hardware.

Try these:
Run Anti-virus/Anti-Malware

Update hardware drivers (Network devices, Audio, Graphics, etc...) from OEM not microsoft.

If windows 10 try to disable Runtime broker. Go to Start menu > Settings app and then open System > Notifications & Actions. Deselect the option "Show me tips about Windows" and reboot the computer.

Finally, Run one memory module at a time as you may have a bad RAM stick.

Can I send you the hardware tomorrow? I'm not at my computer right now.
