Repeater help A4

This may sound a silly question but I am on step A4 on setting up the repeater. when i type in http://192.168.10.1 into the wed browser all i get up is "this page cannot be displayed and no connect to screen. any ideas?

My router that I am using is Virgin media and I am trying to add the repeater Wireless N WIFI to it. I am using wireless N WIFI repeater. I have put in the configuration into my laptop and the next step is to put the following into the web browser http://192.168.10.1 what I have done but the web browser doesn't recognise the web address

A repeater or an access point, i.e. will you attach it to the Virgin gateway with an Ethernet cable?
