I'm using some Asus router in range extender mode, i have to use it with same ssid as my main router, i have done all setup, but i'm still only using signal from my main router. I have used wifi analyzer app for android to check if there is two wifi signals with same ssid, and there is, but even if i get 30% signal from main router it doesn't change to the other router(that is in range extender mode) even if i'm standing right next to him. So do i have to completely be out of range for main router in order to connect to other one, or not?

With home WIFI hardware, you device (phone, laptop, tablet) is in control of which WIFI to choose. If you start connected to source "A" it will stick with source "A" even if source "B" is better. This is why I recommend using unique SSID for each WIFI source and then manually choosing which one you want.

If you want more seamless WIFI roaming then you may have to try one of the mesh WIFI systems.

Is there any way i can make a wifi connection like in a hotel(one password and no manual connecting), so i can use as one big wifi network...?
