Hello

my PSU died, finally got a replacement from Corsair 750w even better than I had

I think my MB was burnt so I'm trying to use my old one LGA 1155 same socket

I get short repeating beeps when I boot, I connected keyboard and monitor, didnt connect my hard drive as I moved it to my notebook for a while

what would repeating beeps mean? the last thing I want to hear that my 250 dollar cpu is gone

I know POST is supposed to give one good short sound if it's good to go but it's not the case.

repeating beeps means either ur motherboard or ur ram has an issue...depending on which BIOS brand u r using...
first of all...check the compatibility of d cpu with d motherboard...reseat d cpu...check for d pins...
also check ram by switching to one stick first...

if your mb has onboard video ports. pull the gpu and one ram stick. see if it beeps. if it does swap ram sticks. if it still beeps...try clearing the cmos. if it still beeps see if someone has a post it card see what error the mb is tossing. if the mb and cpu were cooked you can send or speek to a level 2/3 customer service rep see if they will replace the burnt out parts.

I don't have the gpu there, all i have is RAM and CPU 3570k to test there, I suspect that my MB is cooked I tried to google the error code (it's a gigabyte MB), it's stopped beeping when I connected a keyboard, but now it's beeping even with a keyboard.
