repeating keys while gaming instead of holding

Every time I am playing a game and it requires me to hold down a key to open a menu or use something it always repeats the key instead of letting me just hold it. How can i fix it to if i hold akey down it holds instead of repeating a bunch. For example whenever i am trying to put the mask on in Payday 2 with the "g" key it is repeating a bunch and not letting me load the circle.

That might just be your keyboard. Maybe when you hold a key down it is set to repeat the key press constantly. That's all I can think of

Try going to keyboard settings in control panel to make sure your repeat rate isn't just incredibly slow. Probably not it. But worth a check.
