Question Repetitive Update KB2267602

Hi,

that is an annoying issue that began almost two weeks ago: everyday I have the same update (the one in the subject) that is installed without errors.
I tried some suggestion found by googling but with no results.
Is someone experiencing the same issue?
The OS is Windows 11 PRO with the latest updates, I completely reinstalled the OS a week ago thinking that was due to some error in the OS.

I've had instances where I went to look for updates for the OS off of Settings and the next thing that happened was a black screen, thankfully I was able to perform a system restore to a point prior to the update but since then I leave the OS updates alone and let it do it's thing if necessary.

Where did you source the installer for the OS?

You might want to see if your motherboard is pending any BIOS updates.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check if the BIOS needs an update.

According to this, the update number is a generic number for Defender; while the number is the same, there are different revision numbers as it continually updates Defender. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...o-update/cd9f29b3-2d13-418a-82ed-a2894d1a2002

I didn't noticed before but you are right, every update has a different number.
Since I'm using a different antivirus instead of Defender I will disable it.
