Replace DDR3 with DDR3L in laptop

Can i replace a ram ddr3 with ram ddr3l in a laptop? PS: I have lenovo G500.

lenovo G500 supports DDR3 memory. So a DDR3L will work as well. Not vice versa.

Yes, the DDR3L spec requires that it work in both voltage situations. However, the reverse is NOT true, you cannot use DDR3 in a system designed for DDR3L.
