Hi
I am looking to replace the 2 120mm RAD fans on the H100i cooling from Corsair.
Noise is my number one issue.
I was all set to purchase the
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608026&cm_re=NF-F12-_-35-608-026-_-Product
but they are ugly (I spent too much $ on system with window) I wanted black fans

I found these
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608051
but the db level is much higher than other ones
22.4 dBA, 18.6 dBA (w/ L.N.A.) VS Noise Level 29,7 dB(A)

what do you recommend. I don't know much about fans
I really want a super quiet PC that stays cool, I'm willing to spend $.

Currently I am running the H100i stock fans
Balanced (1600rpm) to semi annoying
Performance (2000rpm) wind tunnel
quiet mode (1000rpm) nice barely hear them

I currently use Balanced and CPU stays around 32C idle

thanks

I replaced the fans on my H100i with those NF-F12 and i am really happy with them. I think most of the higher dba rating is only because of the higher max rpm and you never run at that high rpm.

They are nice and quiet and they move more air then the corsair that it came with.

@SVstorm - Which NF-F12? If the black ones, what speed are you you idling at ?

I was ready to go with the black ones, (I figured they were the same as the brown ones, just different color) then I compared specs...

i have the 5820k
could i expect same result?
EDIT: based on power consumption comparisons, probably not.
Concerned that at my stock fans at 1000rpm sound good, but idle climbs to 34C.
How fast can yours go before they get loud/ make noise?

700rpm, is that balanced or quiet mode?

I dont see why not its a better fan then the originals. I use a custom fan curve in corsair link. Check out the corsair forum if you want to read up on doing that.
