Question Replace Linux Mint

I have an ASUS VivoBook Pro 15 Touchscreen Laptop that had Win10Home on it. I wanted to try Linux on it. But I wasn’t serious enough, gave up too easily, etc. I now have the same laptop doing a wonderful impression of a brick. How can I reinstall Linux Mint?

Download the Mint ISO

Download Rufus

Grab a USB drive and use Rufus to setup your Mint bootable drive.

How to boot to your BIOS and disable Secure boot the select your boot order "USB first" or hit F2

If you're into gaming with that then MX Linux is a little better.

The size of the USB drive is important. I use Pny 16Gb the only reason these come in a 5 pack for 30. or you can buy just one.

I tested a kind of PNY usb stick a while ago, but they seems to vary much in terms of quality. One of them actually just died (neither bios or OS would detect) after attempting to format it.

PNY 16GB USB 2.0 drives are dirt cheap and work well with anything, they are generally what I pick for OS installation.
