Replace motherboard on xps 710 dell

Has anyone successfully replaced a factory MB on a XPS 710 system with an aftermarket BTX MB

You're going to find it impossible to do. The rear I/O panel on that motherboard is proprietary to Dell and any replacement MB will not fit the case properly for that reason. Your best bet is to get a new case along with a MB, and then scavenge the hard drive, floppy drive, and optical drive from the Dell.
