Good morning guys,

I have a faulty motherboard which was ex-display from Ebuyer.com and while it partly works I want to replace it with a brand new one of the exact same model. For some reason I only get max 100mbps internet speed while my actual max speed is 210mbps and one of the ram slots doesn't work. If i place ram in it it the computer will not boot up.

Will I need to re-install everything? Will I need a new windows liecence? I was hoping I could simply swap it out and only re-apply thermal paste for cpu.

Thank you

Solution
For same motherboard model no re-installation will be necessary.
If your windows license is retail, you can transfer it to another PC (new motherboard equals new PC in MS opinion).
If it's OEM licence, you will need to contact MS support by phone and explain, that your old motherboard broke and you needed to replace it.
