Hi I have an Acer Aspire S7-391 Ultrabook(Core i7 Model). My SSD drive has stopped working and I am planning to buy a new ssd drive but I am not sure what drive would be compatible with my ultrabook. Would the Samsung 840 EVO mSata ssd drive be compatible with my laptop, please let me know what type of ssd to buy. Thank you

How do you know it's the SSD drive?

Do you have a Warranty still? It's probably 1-year but if you do that's the way to go.

I can't tell from looking at the website, but your best bet is likely to open up the laptop so you can visually look at the SSD to see what it is. If it's an "mSata SSD" then most or all should work I assume.

For that, you can find them at pcpartpicker likely.

*You'll also need to buy another copy of Windows since Acer won't give you one unless it's under Warranty (in which case it's not an issue anyway).

**In the future, you should get a USB hard drive so you can use Acronis True Image (FREE version for WD, same for Seagate but called DiscWizard). With Acronis TI/DiscWizard you can make a backup IMAGE to...

Hi I removed the ssd and checked everything the issue is with the ssd my 1 year warranty period is over as well so my plan is to replace the SSD on my own. The ssd which is there in my ultrabook is a mSata one my only concern is whether all mSata SSDs are compatible for my laptop. Anyway thank you for the quick reply I will check out the ssd link u sent me. Thank You Very much :)
