I'm deeply ashamed at myself typing this as I know better. That being said, I didn't disconnect the battery before I did this. I always disconnect the battery anytime I go into a laptop, whether it's memory or hardrive upgrade, cleaning the fans....anything.

I just thought I could swap the screen without disconnecting the battery....dumb.

Well, now it won't power up, no lights on the keyboard, nothing ... neither with battery nor power cord.
I have seen vids on the display fuse but in this case, not even the keyboard lights up. If I plug it in, the charging light won't illuminate.

I have some soldering skills but not sure where the fuse is, if it is the fuse.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

did you unplug the battery afterwards yet? did you install the correct display?
try unplugging the display and power on to see if it boots again
unplug and replug all connections again
some flexes can be tricky while clamping
Yeah, I tried the old display again, new display, unplugged display, tried AC power, nothing. Tried powering up in all scenarios....no luck.

unplug battery , ac and cmos battery
replug cmos battery after 1 minute, then battery, then AC, try powering on

which exact model of the legion 5 is it?

why did you replace the old display?
Sorry for the delay, I didn't get an email notification.

Lid was closed with object on keyboard apparently, so the display developed dark lines near the middle.

Legion 5 Model is 15IMH05H

I performed the task you mentioned, it that order, and no avail, not even a battery charging LED.
